Terms of Service
Buy data, use it legally, and keep your credential safe. The rest is detail.
Last updated: 2026-09-04
What we sell
SimBear sells prepaid mobile data plans delivered as eSIM profiles. You buy a
package for a destination and a duration, install the profile on your device, and
use the data. Service is delivered over partner mobile networks in the countries
covered by the package you chose.
Your device
- Your device must support eSIM and must not be carrier-locked. Most phones sold
in the last few years support it, but you are responsible for checking before
you buy.
- A profile can normally be installed once. Deleting it from your device usually
means it cannot be reinstalled, so do not remove it until you are finished.
- We cannot control your device, your operating system, or how a given handset
handles eSIM. Compatibility problems specific to your device are not something
we can fix, though we will try to help.
Acceptable use
You may use the data for any lawful purpose. The following are prohibited:
- Anything that breaks the law in Canada or in the jurisdiction you are using the
service from
- Child sexual abuse material
- Fraud, scams, or phishing
- Attacking other systems without authorisation
- Spam or unsolicited bulk messaging
- Reselling the service as your own without a written agreement with us
Violations result in immediate suspension without refund.
Abuse reports
We act on abuse reports from law enforcement with valid legal process, from the
networks that carry the traffic, and from recognised child-protection
organisations. Note that we hold almost no information about our customers, so what
we are able to provide in response to any request is correspondingly small.
Your account
- Your 32-character credential is the entire account. It is the only way in.
- We store only a hash of it. If you lose it, it cannot be recovered or
reset, and the account and anything in it is gone. Save it somewhere
safe the moment you get it.
- Anyone holding your credential is you, as far as the site is concerned. Keep it
secret.
- You are responsible for everything done under your account.
Billing
- Everything is prepaid. There are no subscriptions and no recurring charges.
- You can pay from your account balance, by card, or with cryptocurrency.
- Crypto payments are credited once the network confirms them. If a payment
arrives short of the invoice total and the window closes, we credit what
actually arrived to your balance rather than keeping it.
- Prices are shown before you confirm. The price you confirm is the price charged.
Refunds
- An eSIM that has not been installed can be cancelled for a
refund to your account balance, from its management page.
- Once a profile has been installed or its data used, it generally cannot be
refunded, because the allowance has been issued on the carrier network.
- If the service does not work and the fault is ours or the network's, open a
ticket. We review these case by case and aim to reply within 48 hours.
- Refunds are normally issued as account balance. Crypto refunds to an external
address are possible at our discretion and may carry network fees.
- Nothing here removes rights you have under consumer law where you live.
Coverage and availability
- Coverage, speed, and network quality come from the partner mobile networks and
vary by country, location, and device. We do not guarantee a particular speed.
- Some packages are subject to fair-use policies set by the underlying network,
which are shown on the package where they apply.
- We may change or discontinue packages. Plans you have already bought keep the
terms they were bought under.
Termination
- You can delete your account at any time from your settings.
- We may terminate accounts that breach these terms, immediately and without
refund.
Fraudulent payments
Accounts using stolen cards or other fraudulent payment methods will be suspended
and closed without refund, active eSIMs terminated, and any remaining balance
forfeited. We may report such activity to payment processors and to the authorities.
Limitation of liability
The service is provided "as is". We are not liable for loss of data, interruptions
to mobile service, the acts of the underlying networks, or indirect or consequential
damages. Our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the preceding three
months.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec and the federal laws
of Canada. Disputes are to be resolved in the courts of Quebec, Canada. SimBear is
operated by Avalanche Systems Inc.
Changes
We may update these terms. Continuing to use the service after a change means you
accept the updated terms, so it is worth checking the date at the top now and then.
